It's been a busy and exciting couple of months here at Old Hall with film and audio work galore. A highlight being a podcast with Dr. Suzannah Lipscomb on Tudor banqueting food. This has been released as of early May and can be accessed here. Her podcast series, "Not Just the Tudors" is a recent new series and it was particularly exciting to be one of the first invited guest speakers. We discussed the history of Tudor banqueting, its significance in Tudor society, the fashions it engendered and, of course, the food itself. The excitement doubled when she then visited with a film crew and got to try the actual treats prepared for her. Everything from subtleties to suckets, comfits to cakes.
